YCCC WINS TONY MOORE CUP

In a well contested, at times bruising encounter, YCCC has prevailed over our mates at North Footscray Football and Netball Club in the second edition of the prestigious Tony Moore Cup T20 match.

The footy boys gave their cricketing counterparts a real run for their money, falling just short of YCCC’s target of 157.

To say that the NFFC boys will bleed for one another has never been more apparent, with one brave warrior taking an amazing catch with his face on the boundary. Amidst blood soaked eyes, this diehard devil managed to hold on to the aggot to dismiss the YCCC batsman. He was promptly given a hero’s ovation as he was shuffled off to hospital to have his face put back together.

The game was played in great spirits, and the beers and stories that followed were a testament to the close relationship we enjoy with the footy club.

A massive thank you to all of those involved from NFFC and YCCC for what was a great evening. YCCC might just have uncovered it’s next crop of recruits.
